Marshall Supanik began registering targets in 2019 and in the four short years he has amassed over 15,000 registered targets and several trophies. This year he went to the Grand American World Trapshooting Championships in Sparta, IL, where he came home with four trophies. His second day there he shot a 98 in Event 13 the Blaser Handicap tying with another Sub Junior for Runner-up and Third. Placing third after the shootoff Marshall, got his first taste of the World Stage of shoot offs. He went on to break a Class C high score of 198 in the Winchester AA Class Singles Championship placing fourth after the carryover moving him up to Class B, Class D fourth in Event 17 Wenig Doubles Class Championship and was the Sub Junior Champion in the White Flyer Handicap Doubles.
Now these aren’t the first trophies Marshall has won, in fact he is a two time WV State Singles Champion, this year participating on an all WV squad in the Champion of Champions event held at the World Championships for champions from the state Championships. Shooting with Marshall were two time WV State Singles Champion Mark Isner, twelve time Lady Champion Sandy Spencer, Doug Damron and Robert Harden. The future looks bright for West Virginia especially on the trapshooting line and one of those bright spots is Marshall Supanik.
