Chuck Jackson sent a note that Gerald Narigon had lost his fight with cancer this month. Jerry registered 90225 singles, 102685 handicap and 40350 doubles over 53 years, he was a very colorful character.

Gerald Lee Narigon, 83, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Saturday morning, October 29, 2022 in his son’s Wellsburg, WV home.He was born on August 20, 1939 in Washington, PA, son of the late Harold Louis and Ila Frances King Narigon.Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Avella High School and was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a Spec. 4 Corporal during the Vietnam War.He was employed by Weirton Steel Corporation in the blooming mill as an overhead crane operator, for 28 years, retiring in 1993.Mr. Narigon was a member of Brooke County Sportsmen Club.He enjoyed Trap Shooting and golfing in his men’s league at Highland Springs Golf Course.Jerry had lived in Wellsburg since 1968.Surviving are, two sons, Gerald Lee (Pennie) Narigon II of Wellsburg, WV and Joseph (Jenette) Narigon of Aurora, MO; five grandchildren, Melissa, Kayla, Tripper, Stephanie and Victoria; 14 great grandchildren, Alexander, Mariska, Taylor, Brock, Isaiah, Azariah, Hunter, Joshua, Jaxson, Peyton, Theia, Adley, Freya and Tayden; two brothers, Harold David (Cora) Narigon of Hickory, Phillip Emerson (Carol) Narigon of Washington.Deceased in addition to his parents are two sisters, Carol Ann Cowieson and Mildred Diane Narigon.There will be no visitations. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wellsburg Church of the Nazarene, 835 Washington Pike, Wellsburg, WV 26070.All arrangements are being handled by Jerome A.
