The temperature Saturday morning was a chilly 38 degrees warming to just 58 for the Scott Ross Singles Championship.  However, Scott Ross and Gene Snively were both on fire posting perfect 100's in the morning. Gene backed up the second 100 with a 99 for a 199 to become the Scott Ross Singles Champion. Scott won A Class honors. The B Class Singles Champ was decided by a shoot-off between Thomas Gray and Nick Harden; after the shoot off, Thomas Gray was the Class B Champion. Ryan Barbarossa and his father David, joined the fun with Ryan taking the Junior trophy. The  Ladies  Champion was Sandy Spencer. The entire Johnson family from Valley Grove, WV also participated, Dad, Curt, Lois, Erin and Curtis all shot on the same squad and had a good time, it was great to see the whole family shooting together. The Preliminary Handicap was a tie between Mike Vanaman and Dennis Copperrider with both breaking 96's. Sunday, Richard Granatir bested the field with a 97 to garner the Robert Harden Doubles Championship. A Class was decided by a shoot-off between last years inductee Mark Isner and this years inductee Scott Ross with Scott prevailing. Nick Harden won B Class honors with Bill King, Jr. claiming C Class. Three shooters broke 96's in the Harley Barr Handicap Championship named for the past HOF inductee and legend Harley Barr. After a three way shoot-off Rob Ingram was the Champion with Robert Harden and John Evick and James Marcum taking yardage honors. Scott Ross and Robert Harden were presented plaques by ATA Delegate, Mark Isner, as evidence of their induction into the WV ATA Hall of Fame.

The WVATA would like to thank Marshall County Hunting & Fishing Club for hosting this years shoot. A tip of the hat goes to Larry Lilley, Rob Ingram and their crew who ran an absolutely trouble free and enjoyable shoot.

Also we had a lot of donated help to operate the computers Mark Isner, Nick Harden, David Kemp, Bruce Haislip for setting the computers up and Mary Ellen Dague for running the office, entering scores, cashiering, running down shooters to pay them their winnings and generally all around great person. Thanks.
