Southern Zone News WV Shooters

Just back from the Southern Zone shoot in Bostic, NC where WV shooters brought home some trophies. Thursday, WV ATA Delegate Nick Harden Shot a 97 in the days handicap event winning his yardage group site trophy.

Nick also shot a 97 on Sunday's Handicap Championship and after the shoot off placed 5th on site and 7th Zone wide, pretty good for his 1st Zone shoot.

Doug Damron won site Veteran Trophy for Event 4 Class Singles Championship, Mark Isner won site Class A Doubles Trophy in Sunday's Doubles Championship and site Class B in Friday's Doubles event.  Bob Harden was Zone Sub-Vet runner-up in Friday's Doubles. Next year Brooke County Farmers & Sportsman Assoc. will host the Southern Zone Telephonic Shoot the week after the WV State Shoot. Emiliano and Nicholas shot at the WV State Shoot last week where Emiliano broke his first 25 and we told them about the Zone shoot in Bostic, NC. and  when we pulled up Wednesday they were there. Nicholas is going back to Hawaii with the Southern Zone Open Handicap Championship having ripped off a 99. Nicholas, new to the sport, having only shot for 2 months, with a new gun suprised everyone including himself by ripping off a 99 to win the Southern Zone Open Handicap Championship had he been from the Southern Zone he would have shot off for the Zone Championship with Justin King who also broke a 99 both Juniors. Nicholas received the Open Handicap Champion site trophy from ATA Past President Ken Duncan

Emiliano & Nicholas plans on returning to the WV State Shoot next year and we would love to have them back!
